Danger to life and health is of greater religious concern than other matters.
Hullin 9b

Women of Reform Judaism has been involved in the Interfaith Partnership for Children's Health and the Environment for the past two years. Valiant efforts with many positive steps have been taken in four states as part of this campaign. Although the grant money has been eliminated, WRJ wishes to continue this project and expand it throughout North America. Therefore, the Department on Religious Action proposes the following recommendations:

  1. Expand the project to reach out to sisterhoods throughout North America;
  2. Create publicity and additional educational resources for WRJ sisterhoods about the issues endangering our children and their environment;
  3. Be a resource for material that can be used for presentations; and
  4. Become involved with interfaith groups interested in the project and do joint programming.

We are stronger together.
