WRJ's 47th assembly will open at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4th and conclude on Sunday, November 8th at 10:45 a.m. Click here  to see the full schedule of events.


The assembly will be headquartered in the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. For your convenience, plenty of rooms have been reserved at the hotel. When your registration  has been processed and paid in full, you will be given instructions on how to reserve your room at the hotel. WRJ has secured a special room rate of $192 per night for rooms in the hotel.

 

Shuttle bus service will be provided from the Sheraton to the convention center where all Union for Reform Judaism functions will take place.


GETTING THERE


Air Travel
Toronto Pearson International Airport is a large airport that is serviced by most major carriers.


Assembly attendees are eligible for discounts on Continental Airlines flights. Continental offers discounts of 2% to 15% off published fares or Zone Fares for all assembly attendees. Call your travel professional or Continental MeetingWorks at 800-468-7022 for reservations. Refer to Z Code ZFNA and Agreement Code: C6BVFE

Ground Transportation
Taxi service from Pearson International Airport to the Sheraton costs about US$60 and takes about 45 minutes. Shuttle bus service, for approximately US$20, is also available through companies such as Toronto Airport Express.

Entering Canada from the U.S.
As of June 1, 2009 , all individuals will be required to hold a valid passport to enter Canada and re-enter the United States, even if you are traveling by car, train, or bus.


You can visit the U.S. Department of State website to learn more about obtaining or renewing a U.S. passport or to have your passport questions answered. Please note, it may take up to six weeks to receive your passport, please be sure to leave yourself ample time. You may not travel on a U.S. passport within six months of its expiration date (i.e., if you are coming to assembly, your passport must be valid through May 2010.)


International Travel to Canada

International travelers must have a valid passport to enter and exit Canada. Please check your passport to make sure that it does not expire prior to the assembly. For specific information on travel documents required to visit Canada from countries other than the U.S., please visit www.cbsa.gc.ca and www.cic.gc.ca.

Mobile Devices
Since we will be in Canada, foreign travelers (including those from the U.S.) should be advised that roaming charges on mobile devices may be quite expensive. Be sure to check with your carrier for international rates.
