Groundbreaking volume provides women a voice in commentary
When the 58th annual Jewish Book Awards ceremony was held on March 5th, the top prize, the Everett Family Foundation Jewish Book of the Year award, was given to the groundbreaking The Torah: A Women’s Commentary.
Published by WRJ and its partner, the URJ Press, the publication, edited by Dr. Tamara Eskenazi and Rabbi Andrea L. Weiss, is the result of fourteen years of work by more than 100 women theologians, historians, sociologists, scholars, anthropologists, poets, rabbis, and cantors from the United States, Canada, Israel and South America.
